Dental Treatments Provided:

Restorative-

  • Sealants
    • A procedure in which composite (tooth colored) material is coated onto the biting surfaces of your chewing teeth. This “seals” the deep grooves, and acts like a barrier which in turn protects the enamel from plaque and acids. In return it helps prevent the grooves on the teeth from decay .
  • Composite Fillings
    • Composite (tooth colored) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc.
  • Amalgam Fillings
    • Amalgam (silver) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay. Commonly used in the in the back teeth since the color is not as aesthetically pleasing as a composite filling.
  • Crowns (Caps)
    • A crown (or cap) covers the entire tooth, protecting and strengthening the tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations.
  • Complete Dentures
    •  Removable dental appliance used to replace missing teeth, particularly when all the teeth are missing.
  •  Partial Dentures
    • Removable dental appliance used to replace missing teeth, usually used when some natural teeth remain. Helps prevent teeth from shifting as well as filling in spaces created by missing teeth.
  • Fixed Bridges
    • A fixed (non-removable) appliance that helps replace missing teeth.
  • Root Canal Therapy
    • Needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. The affected tooth is treated and filled with medicated dental materials, which can restore the tooth to its full function.
  • Dental Implants
    • A fixed solution to replace a missing tooth or teeth, as well as providing excellent support and stability for dental appliances such as complete or partial dentures.
  • Inlay Restorations
    • Custom made filling made of composite material, gold or tooth-colored porcelain to conservatively repair teeth that have large defective fillings or have been damaged by decay or trauma.
  • Onlay Restorations
    • Sometimes referred to as a partial crown, it’s a custom made filling made of composite material, gold or tooth-colored porcelain. Like inlays, they conservatively repair teeth that have large defective fillings or have been damaged by decay or trauma.

Oral Surgery-

  • Tooth Extractions
    • Teeth may need to be extracted for a number of reasons. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed, have broken in a way that cannot be repaired or have advanced periodontal disease.
  • Wisdom Teeth
    •  Also known as third molars, are the last four of 32 teeth to erupt (surface) in the mouth. In most cases there is not enough space in the mouth to allow them to erupt properly making them nonfunctional and can become impacted (stuck) in an undesirable or potentially harmful position.
    • Impacted wisdom teeth can contribute to infection, damage to nearby teeth (second molars, the teeth directly in front of the wisdom teeth) which can result in tooth decay (cavities), periodontal disease (gum disease) and possible bone loss.

Cosmetic-

  • Porcelain Veneers
  •

    • Thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth.
    • Reasons for porcelain veneers:
      • Cosmetic-to create a uniform, white, beautiful smile
      • Crooked teeth
      • Misshapen teeth
      • Severely discolored or stained teeth
      • Teeth that are too small or large
      • Unwanted or uneven spaces
      • Worn or chipped teeth.
  • Teeth Whitening
    • Also known as “bleaching” is a simple, non invasive dental treatment used to change the color of your natural tooth enamel. Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed every couple years and more often if you smoke, drink tea, coffee or red wine. We offer Start Pure which is our in-office whitening system, as well as a take home custom tray option.
  • Start Pure- In Office Whitening
    • Start Pure teeth whitening is an advanced in-office cosmetic whitening treatment that offers fast, effective results to patients who want to take years of discoloration off their smiles. The system includes a proprietary blend of ingredients activated by violet light to powerfully dissolve stains and brighten the teeth to a brilliant shade – all in just 20 minutes. In fact, some patients achieve teeth up to 8 shades lighter after just a single treatment!
    •

        • Did you know that Start Pure’s system is 30 percent more powerful at removing tooth yellowing than the leading whitening brands? Created by a dentist and a physician, this treatment is specifically designed to reduce tooth sensitivity, minimize treatment time, and prolong results. Most patients find their teeth to be several shades whiter with results that last up to a year or more after treatment.
    • Take Home Whitening with Custom Trays
      • Our custom trays made specifically for you to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home. This process takes about 15 – 30 minutes a day and results may take 1 – 3 weeks to achieve your desired shade.
  • Other Services

    • Sleep Apnea and Snoring Cessation- Many patients who have a problem with snoring later find out that the underlying condition is sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a medical condition that can occur at any age. It occurs when the airways are blocked for some reason and the individual stops breathing for a certain amount of time. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the most common type and occurs when the soft tissue in the back of the throat collapses and blocks the air passages. Central sleep apnea (CSA) occurs when the brain stops sending signals to the muscles to breathe and can be corrected with a removable dental appliance.
    • TMJ Treatment-The temporomandibular joint is what connects your jaw to your skull, located in the area right in front of your ears. This allows you to open and close your mouth. When a person has a TMJ disorder, it can make it challenging to chew regularly. Leading to clicking / popping noises when they open their mouth, and even cause serious headaches. TMJ can be corrected with a removable dental appliance.
